Christ Church Seniors Ministry

SENIORS  MINISTRY        J.O.Y.

We are beginning to develop an exciting new CCA Seniors Ministry (as in age 55+).  It will be called J.O.Y  (Just Older Youth), and it's for those who aren't working in the daytime, and would like to have fellowship with others their own age in the church (singles or couples).

If you are interested in being on the leadership team for this developing ministry, please talk with Phyllis Byron or Ed Murfin, the new directors of our seniors ministry.  We plan to have a regular monthly luncheon for all seniors at the church fellowship building, with a lot of fellowship and some entertaining and informing programs.

Currently, this group of 55+ seniors in our church meets at the office/fellowship center for a fellowship lunch on second Wednesdays at noon.  Sometimes there is a short program.  All seniors in the community are welcome and are asked to bring a bag lunch for themselves.  Drink will be provided.  Discussion at the January 14 gathering will be whether to have a February 12 Valentine luncheon, and if so, what arrangements to make.

Please let the church office,  Phyllis Byron, or Ed Murfin know if you plan to attend.  We're planning a special fun music program with Father Rob Sanders, that you won't want to miss.

If you have ideas about any of this, talk with Phyllis (phone 904-779-7888), or see her at the  8:30 service on Sundays.
