Giving Options & Information
There are many ways you can make a financial contribution to the future home of Christ Church.
Income: Gifts can be made from regular income, including salary, investments, etc. A weekly or monthly pledge may enable you to make a more generous gift than you thought possible. If you itemize your deductions, your gift may be tax deductible.
Appreciated Assets: Giving appreciated assets, such as marketable securities or real estate, can benefit both you and the church. You can maintain your current cash, while reducing your income and/ or estate liabilities. The church would acquire a tax free gift that would be sold at fair market value. For example, stocks owned for more than one year may be donated at their fair market value. You may be able to deduct the donation at the market value rather than the original price and avoid paying taxes on the appreciated amount. Other giving options include bonds and life insurance. Please consult your tax advisor for specific details and to determine the applicability of tax laws to your situation.
Pledge Card
On July 20, 2008, you will be asked to place your completed pledge card on the altar. It is crucial that every member of Christ Church participate in this project as the Lord enables and leads them. The pledge card below has 6 specific lines to be completed. The first line is for the amount of money that you can give toward this project immediately. The second line is for the amount of money that you can give between August and December 2008. The 3rd thru 5th lines are for 2009, 2010, and 2011 respectively. If you have a special giving situation that does not match these categories, please complete the “other” category and describe your gift on the line below. As you fill out this card, please remember that the amounts you are committing to are over and beyond your regular giving for the operating budget.
