Christ Church Permanent Facility Links

Property Information
Christ Church has selected a 13.5 acre property in zip code 32210, which is centrally located in the Westside of the city and convenient to the majority of the congregation. The proposed site is heavily discounted due to at least 5 types of zoning for the property, which make it very difficult for most commercial uses. However, a church is the only use that is compatible with all of the property zoning laws, and would not require re-zoning or zoning variances. The property is ideal for Christ Church Anglican because it is large enough to meet short term facility plans, as well as long term plans for growth. The property is also highly visible and accessible to current and future members and has a stop light at the entrance to allow for orderly traffic flow for services and other events.
Purchasing land in this area has many benefits for Christ Church, including steps toward a permanent facility and capitalizing facility costs rather than continuing to pay rent in temporary facilities. The proposed location will also be more centrally located than the leased facility and allow for current and future facility needs. This will allow Christ Church to add and expand programs and bring more stability to Christ Church with the acquisition of a permanent location for facilities.

Site Plan - Land Survey
Several scenarios for the use of the property were considered by the committee including the possibility of using “portable” buildings to quickly have a presence on the property. The team concluded that this type of investment was not in our best long term interest. Based on that, we are proceeding to plan for a permanent structure that will serve us for many years to come. The preliminary idea is to build two adjoining structures, a multi-purpose/administration building of about 4,400 square feet and a worship building of about 5,200 square feet that would accommodate about 250 worshippers. We have very preliminary budget figures for such a structure of about $1,500,000. Ultimately we would build a larger sanctuary with seating for about 500 when church growth warrants it.
